Fixing and Testing Suspension on Rather B Welding's Homemade E-Dirt Bike
In his first attempt at a full size electric dirt bike, @ratherBweldingChris made a really awesome machine- but it had some flaws from the start.
The suspension was clapped out, abused, and just plain awful.
He asked me if I would be able to make the bike more rideable and I, of course, couldn't turn down the challenge. We literally took the bike apart and I threw it in the back of my mini van and drove it 1000 miles home.
In this video I test the current set up, determine what it needs, attempt to fix it and then don't test it again until it's in Rather B's hands back at Durhamtown Offroad Park. Watch as he gets the first ride and hear what he has to say about the changes I made.
This is not a how to video but I do include some tips and useful tools as the suspension is the Showa system originally from a 2010 Kawasaki KX250F.
