Oops, Dale's Demon Is WAY Faster - My Last Drag Runs For 2024, And My 1971 Dodge Demon 340's Future
It's been several months now of waiting patiently for a response from @UncleTonysGarage and Slaghammer. I've still got his timing light which I (unintentionally) stole during the Great Ice Cream Race, and which I would be happy to ship back to him... In the interim, my home track Bremerton Raceway's very last test and tune of the year came around, and I knew there was still a lot of time to shave off of my previous best 1/8th mile time of 8.30. So Byron and I loaded the Demon on the ramp truck and hit the road for drag strip glory once more. This trip had everything... snapping straps on the ramp truck (that's a new one,) self-ejecting speed parts, magic milkshake machines from the future, and my fastest drag runs ever, by a lot, twice. We'll also discuss my plans for the Demon's future - namely, retirement from drag racing. I'd say it's well earned.
