And perhaps this was the purpose of these attacks by Hamas because the diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel could choke the struggle of the Palestinians. And now there is no possibility of normalization of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel as expected.
Privately, however, Saudi leaders are likely celebrating the fact that Iran will face strong international backlash for funding Hamas.
But on the other hand, Iran's refusal of its involvement in this attack by Hamas has made it clear that this time Iran intends to sit in the backseat and play its role instead of getting into a conflict because Iran has always been the single largest sponsor of Hamas, providing 70 percent of Hamas funding, including more than $100 million.
