Why We're NOT In Another Video Game Crash
Recently, there has been talk about another possible video game crash happening, largely due to all the video game industry layoffs happening lately. A lot of Youtubers told us that the sky is falling and that the video game industry is dying but in this video, I’m giving an honest take on the situation and what's probably going to happen. I'll talk about the original 1983 video game crash, the similarities between then and now, why some people wouldn't mind a big crash, and why a big video game crash probably isn't happening anytime soon.
I'll also give some short term video game industry predictions regarding what I think will happen in the next year or two, particularly big events that will have a significant impact on the industry.
Also, my apologies if some of the layoff numbers are a bit off, especially for this year. As I was writing this script, I probably missed something so my nearly 7'000 people laid off estimate may not be accurate as of the publishing of this video.
