This is a video on how to find the slope intercept form equation of a line.

On this video two points are given with their corresponding coordinates to get the slope intercept form equation.

Using these coordinates, the general slope intercept form equation y = mx + b will then be derived.

Any straight line can use the equation y = mx + b.

Using only the coordinates of two points, first we need to solve for the slope using the equation m = (y2 – y1) / (x2 - x1).

Using only the coordinates of two points, first we need to solve for the slope using the equation m = (y2 – y1) / (x2 - x1).

After finding the slope, then intercept or b will then be solved. Use the equation y = mx + b, where the value of y and x can be taken from any of the coordinates of the two points.

When the slope and b have been found substitute them to the slope intercept form equation.
