Hello guys. Here is a video tutorial about factoring general trinomials. To factor general trinomials, we first multiply the first and third terms. And then we get their factor, and get the sum of each set of factors. You then check if which set of factors is equal to the second term of the given equation.
Once you find the set of factors that gives a sum equal to the second term of the equation, you substitute the addition equation to the second term.
Then you grouped like terms that can be factored out by pair. You proceed to factoring, and separate the factors. That's how you perform factoring general trinomials.
