Waterlogged Football pitch drainage solution using Swale an
A possible simple solution to solve the problem of a perpetually water logged football pitch.
The proposed solution is a shallow ditch working as a gutter around the base of the hill to direct the water away from flooding the football pitch into a boggy area which can be planted up with willow to soak up and pump the water into the air through evaporative transpiration.
This is a solution derived from 12 months observation and interaction as part of a Permaculture design solution I want to propose to the local council.
