When it comes to films for Halloween there is no greater classic than the holiday’s own namesake, John Carpenter’s 1978 iconic horror film, Halloween. Not only is it the film that reinvigorated horror, inviting the audience to be a part of every dark corner, every gasp, every terror-filled moment of do or die, not only did it invent many of the tropes of horror that we know and love today, but it created an instant classic. And it did it on a shoestring budget. Halloween is the perfect example of how the right team can make a lot of film with just a little money.
