The project will start with setting up the hardware components and installing the necessary software libraries. The hand detection algorithm will be implemented using OpenCV, followed by finger counting using image processing techniques. Communication between Python and Arduino will be established using the Firmata protocol. Finally, the Arduino code will control the LEDs based on the finger count received from Python.
The gesture-controlled LED system project aims to demonstrate the integration of computer vision and hardware control for creating an interactive user experience. By enabling users to control LEDs through hand gestures, the project showcases the potential applications of gesture recognition technology in various fields, including human-computer interaction, automation, and accessibility. Through this project, participants will gain valuable skills in Python programming, computer vision, and hardware integration, empowering them to explore further applications of gesture control and contribute to the advancement of interactive technology.
