POWer
The last storm cycle here at The Summit brought a whole lot of snow and with it a whole lot of challenges! Numerous road closures and power outages hindered operations, while feet upon feet (upon feet) of snow stacked up. Many of these days we were forced to stay inside, teased by the bottomless powder accumulating before our eyes. But when the roads opened and power returned, we managed to make it out on the mountain and harvest legendary fresh flakes.
We recently conducted an investigation into the power outage and road closure issues. It took some digging to get to the bottom of it all, but we finally figured out what was happening. Here is a summary of our findings.
