Slavic Secrets #33: Fluffy Buns
These are the most delicious buns I remember from my childhood. They did cost 9 kopecks back then. Their recipe was quite difficult, if not impossible to get. I've found this recipe somewhere around 7 years ago. With it, you can back these gorgeous, delicious, fragrant buns to please yourself and your loved ones!
Ingredients:
Leaven:
112 ml milk (slightly warm);
90 ml water (slightly warm);
15 g fresh yeast;
232 g refined flour.
Dough:
All leaven;
75-95 ml water;
195 g sugar;
10 g salt;
15 g fresh yeast;
3.5 g vanillin;
98 g chicken eggs (about 2);
518 g of premium flour;
112 g butter, melt and cool;
1 egg for the lubrication of rolls;
Vegetable oil for baking sheet.
