To calculate cut and fill volume, we must have at least two topographic data sets: the original ground data for the base and the progress data for work progress. 1. Make sure you've created a directory file for data retrieval and calculation storage.
2. Import the original data in CSV format to create string data.
3. Then convert it into the first DTM file.
4. Also import the progress data in CSV format to create string data.
5. Convert the progress data into a second DTM file.
6. Then create a boundary for the volume calculation area.
7. Then calculate the volume from the two DTMs using the surface-volume cut and fill between DTM command.
8. Then select output for the volume calculation results.
