THIS COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING...CAN WE GO ON? VAN LIFE REALITY CHECK
Vanlife, much like life itself really, can be a precarious business. After our campervan travel adventures around Europe came to an end, the plan was to head back to work for one week before exploring more of the UK in our little home on wheels. A health scare for one of us however, resulting in a hospital stay, brought home how quickly things can change, and the vulnerabilities of living in a van full time. While some of this is just worry, which can happen no matter where or how you live, it does make us question how long we can do vanlife for. Or more specifically, can we work towards having a permanent base, whilst keeping Daisy and having regular campervan adventures still? The answer is, we're not 100% sure. We know we love this life and the opportunities it's given us, but we've always said we would like a base again too. This video just gave us something to think about. Either way, don't fret, there is plenty of gas in the tank left for more adventures (these conundrums don't resolve themselves overnight) and we'll be sure to update you of any future plans. Meanwhile, let's explore somewhere new, eh? This week, it's Scottish Borders time!
