More formalised LGBTQ+ parenting set ups might be pretty modern- same sex marriage hasn’t been on the books that long!- but creating families and raising children has long been a part of our community. Of course, one half of the same sex couple might have been called ‘a family friend’ or ‘aunt/uncle’ way back when, but it’s the love and work put into caring that matters ❤️
