The saga continues after Aaron Kelly catches multiple huge redfish one day on a low tide coming in. A few disappointing endeavors in the flats but I'm satisfied to put in work and finally get a sense for the kind of flats I'm looking for when searching for an optimal spot to post up on flood tides. They are so precious and few, along with a hectic work schedule it sucks not having a solid flood tide plan setup when the time comes. This is something every grass flood angler apparently stows in their back pocket all the time and its nice to finally have a pocketful of spots to go to.
Overall still fishing and learning everyday with the intention of understanding seasonal fish behavior rather than just simply establishing a pattern that works and milking it. At the end of the day stacking fish in enormous quantities is not why I started this channel, while sometimes it is mighty satisfying to lay into many in one day. The ante is being upped. I'm searching for more strategic bites in spots I know nothing about... yet.
