The Worldwide Protein Data Bank (wwPDB), is a collaboration between multiple sites across the world: PDBe, RCSB PDB, PDBj, BMRB and EMDB. Together, we manage the PDB, EMDB and BMRB archives and aim to make sure the data in these archives is as complete and useful as possible for the many users around the world.

To ensure the continuous improvement of structural biology data archives, the wwPDB constantly monitor and update deposition processes to improve the quality and richness of the deposited data. We are mindful of the impact of these changes on the deposition experience, and aim to balance any developments to ensure the maximum benefit to PDB users and to maintain usability for our depositors.

This talk will give an overview of some of the recent changes to deposition in the wwPDB OneDep system and other updates to wwPDB practices. It will also highlight how these improvements to the underlying data in the PDB are contributing to major developments that benefit both users and depositors of structural biology data.
