Tron - Animated Blocks #7 - Minecraft
This is an animated blocks resource pack with the addition of 3d modeling. With the 3d model I'm able to create more then just an animation on a flat block.

Make sure to unzip before dragging the file to your resource pack folder.
Make sure Minecraft is 1.8 or greater.

Tron was an idea a couple of kids/friends suggested for me were they wanted me to make the resource pack right in front of them. Well, I made something, but it was very basic and they were pleased with learning the basics of animating texture packs. Moving on.
I don't know where I got the idea for the cube, but while playing around in the 3d model creator, I created the cube using 6 walls instead of a full cube. This enabled me to animate the inside and outside of the cube. While trying things out, I discovered that if I set the outside of the cube to a transparent texture, I get this crazy effect while moving around. I liked this a lot, but I didn't have any good ideas on how to use it. This was until I was going back through my files and found that Tron texture pack I made for the kids. I figured that would work and I started off on the project.
This was the first Animated Blocks where I used After Effects to animate. Usually I can do it in Premiere, but there was no effect to create content lines that left a trail behind. So, I created most of the animations in after effects, exported them, and moved the video files to premiere. I decided to save time on files, I piled all the textures onto one 128x128 texture. This why I don't have 15 animated files going on at once. It didn't save on time, but it makes for a cleaner resource pack and instead of exporting 15 times, I only had to do it once.
Time spent making this: 40-60 hours
