Manually Trigger Security Camera DVR Alarm Output from Desktop Software
Viewton security camera DVR and IP camera NVRs have alarm outputs for connecting external alarm products such as audio sirens and strobe lights. Users can manually trigger these alarm relay outputs using the Mac software and Windows software that is included with all Viewtron security camera recorders.
You can also manually turn on the alarm outputs using the mobile app for iPhone and Android. This can be done from remotely over the Internet.
In this video, Mike shows users how to manually turn on the alarm light connected to the IP camera NVR at CCTV Camera Pros office. Mike is using the Viewtron CMS software for Mac to do this.
In addition to being able to manually control alarm relay outputs via apps and desktop software, the alarm outputs can be triggered by any type of alarm event supported by the DVR. For example, you can setup a Viewtron AI security camera to detect people and cars inside a defined intrusion zone. When a person or vehicle enters that zone, the alarm output can be enabled.
Using a BNC camera DVR, you can setup video motion detection to trigger the alarm output. These alarms can also be setup on a specific time and day schedule.
