Abbey Pumping Station Steam Toys In Action 2026 At The Forget Me Not Garden Railway
The video starts with Russell reversing to the passenger train in the siding and waiting for the guest locomotive, Roundhouse Millie, to pass the crossover before Russell can proceed. I had a couple of shots of Millie and Russell running beside each other until Lady Anne took over. I took some shots of Thomas and Percy running on the branch line section. I took a rare capture of Harrogate leaving the siding over the crossover. The final steam locomotive featured in this video is Dylan with a live steam passenger service. Toby The Tram Engine takes over at 4pm. Toby was used as the shunting engine for bringing the train into and out of the sidings and making way for the next steam locomotive.
This is the first time I have ever ran trains at the Steam Toys In Action event on the Forget Me Not Garden Railway. Picture of the construction of the main line. Previous year 2025 was really windy and I was forced to put the trains away, it wasn't good enough for filming anyway. Now this year is much better.

Garden railway information:
This garden railway is based at the Abbey Pumping Station museum in Leicester. It was built by the beam engine team between July and September 2024. The grand opening of the G scale line was on 5th October 2024 during the Railway Day With Models event and the official grand opening was on 23rd February 2025 with the O gauge line running during the Steam Toys In Action event. The first Bring Your Own Loco Gala started in spring on Saturday 5th April 2025 during the Abs Railway Gala Day With Model Railways.
