Formula SAE at VCU (Ram Racing): Tidewater Autocross at VMP 48.778
48.778, and this was only the second fastest time of the day in VCU's 2019 Formula SAE car at Virgina Motorsports Park, Tidewater Finale. Jake Noble beat by time by 11 hundredths of a second (48.668) in the same car lol. The audacity!! Super thankful for Ram Racing letting me drive their vehicle.
This is VCU's second car ever made (the VCU-02) utilizing a single cylinder WR450 engine in a car weighing 400lb dry, and making 40WHP. Super fun to drive, and it's funny to feel how differently this car handles compared to my Fit. This has proven to be an extremely reliable car however, even four years after its only competition in Nebraska.
It's crazy how different these slicks are compared to the RT660s as well. The amount of grip you get in cold weather is very minimal with the Hoosiers, and it's EXTREMELY obvious when you use 0.5 degrees too much of steering angle.
