In this tutorial I'll show you how to properly add cinematic black bars to your video projects in Adobe Premiere Pro. This should work in all of the latest versions of the program.
Simply create a new adjustment layer and place it on top of all your footage. Then go to Effects - Transform - Crop and add the effect on top of the adjustment layer.
Using the "Crop" effect, we change the Top % and Bottom % parameters to our liking. Personally, I use 7.5% on Top and 7.5% on Bottom, but it all comes down to your preference.
This is probably the easiest and most effective way of adding 100% accurate cinematic black bars in Premiere Pro.
