PicoStar is an electronic kit from PicoKit that is motion activated and plays five Christmas carols and then goes into powersave mode until movement is detected via an ir (infrared) phototransistor.
It uses a Microchip PIC with DAC sound output to achieve a nice amplified sound through the buzzer.
The star has holes in it so you can hang it as a Christmas ornament or cable (zippy) tie it to the top of your Christmas tree.
It uses ultra-bright wide-angled LEDs so you can see this light up your tree from just about any angle.
