PicoRoach is an electronic kit which is rated medium difficulty in construction. It is simple to solder and with the supplied Instruction manual you can follow the steps to assemble your very own hexapod.
The PicoRoach uses three tiny 3.7g servo motors and two microswitches for the inputs and outputs, and it uses a PIC12F508 microchip PIC brain to make it work. You can buy the kit from www.picokit.com and for $1 extra you can get the pre-programmed PIC (for a simple and convenient solution) or you can use our USB PIC Programmer with PicoFlow LT software to upload your own HEX file from a compatible hex compiler in C, Basic, or ASM.
The PicoRoach plastic components legs are laser cut from clear polycarboante or you can buy the tinted polycarbonate components for a little extra.
