As anyone with lipedema can attest, not all body fat is the same. Body fat plays a complex role in both health and disease. This session will explore the different types of adipose tissue in the body and how adipose tissue is an essential component of health as well as a driver of disease. Participants will gain a better insight into both the benefits and harms of body fat.
