Proper Look-Ahead Adder: Solid-State, 4 Ticks for 8 Bits
This adder uses optimized carry-lookahead logic (I call it the "Proper Look-Ahead" architecture) to achieve a speed of 4 ticks for 8 bits (16 bits would take 5 ticks and beyond 16 bits would be dependent on signal strength).
