Some behind the scenes of my mermaid tail making journey. This is going to be the third silicone tail I've made and I'm hoping to improve my techniques and designs so here are some silicone samples and new scale shapes.
So I didn't have a proper video for this week as I'm working on a few big things behind the scenes but here's a little update video on my progress with the mould I've shown you a few videos back. I actually cleaned and polished it with a thick coat of resin as it's not been used since January. I made some silicone samples to test out the colours and they turned out pretty nice (of course got some stuck in a mould as per usual lol). I actually got inspired and came up with a cool concept for the tail. I'm not sure if it's going to work out yet so I'm gonna keep it a secret for now.
I also made a new scale shape in 3 different sizes. It's pretty similar to my old shape but more triangular so it's like a mix between a mermaid and a dragon scale but still in my style.
Let me know what you think about the colour combinations and the scale shape!
