Nobody believed it was possible. Down 30-19 heading into the fourth quarter of a district quarterfinal playoff game at home, the Lightridge Bolts faced elimination. What happened next was the most electric moment of the season.
With the help of a sophomore and a freshman, the Bolts outscored Freedom in the fourth quarter and completed one of the most stunning comebacks in Lightridge girls basketball history — winning 40-34 and sending the home crowd into absolute pandemonium.
