The Deep Refuge, is a subterranean air raid shelter constructed in 1938 during the Munich Crisis, designed to protect personnel from aerial attacks. Located beneath a set of Barracks, it features two levels: the lower level with double-tiered bunks, and the upper level housing administrative offices and a casualty clearing station. The refuge remains in remarkable condition, with original features like intact sleeping bunks and equipment, offering a rare glimpse into wartime military infrastructure.
