Trigonometry Part 7 - Inverse Sine Cosine Tangent
Inverse Sine is the same as ArcSine. In this video we look at the inverse functions of sine, cosine, and tangent. Conceptually simple - we are now plugging in a length ratio and returning an angle. One important thing to consider is that since we are plugging in a ratio rather than 2 individual lengths - each inverse function only returns angles from 2 quadrants.
When we are looking at a specific triangle or vector this typically is not an issue. But when the inverse function is a part of a larger equation that requires the actual angle to be returned - the inverse function may not contain all the information you are looking for. We will point out this discrepancy and in future videos discuss how to address it.
