In this video, I take you along on my much-needed trip to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands—my first time visiting an American Caribbean island! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I love exploring the Caribbean, and St. John did not disappoint.
One of the things that stood out the most about St. John compared to other Caribbean islands I’ve visited is how easy it is for Americans to travel here. Since it’s a U.S. territory, there’s no need for a passport if you’re coming from the U.S., and they use U.S. dollars, so no currency exchange is required—making it a hassle-free getaway!
Since I arrived late on my first day and was completely exhausted, I barely started filming until Day 2, when I hit as many beaches as possible. And wow—these were some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen! The crystal-clear water, soft sandy shores, and stunning scenery made for an unforgettable experience.
That said, St. John felt a bit different from other Caribbean islands I’ve visited. While breathtakingly beautiful, it lacked some of the vibrant local culture and authenticity I love about the Caribbean. It felt more like an upscale resort town than the lively, colorful island vibe I’m used to. I’d love to see more authentic Caribbean-style restaurants and experiences here in the future!
