Transient Analysis:
For time varying signals, such as sine wave, you can analyze its effect on circuit parameter.
Click analysis setup button to view the Analysis setup window. Check and click the transient analysis button. Type starting time and end time. Lets select end time as 100 ms which is the time required to complete 5 cycles of a 50 Hz sine wave.
After setting the simulation profile, click simulation icon and view the A/D demo window showing a black space with X axis varying from 0 to 100 ms of time. From add trace icon as before, multiply the input voltage and current to obtain total input power in watts over the time. Click right button on the wave shape and notice the property window. Change the width, color, pattern of the wave shape as necessary.
From add trace button, select the input voltage to plot along with input power wave shape. Change the pattern of this wave shape as "dotted", so that you can differentiate it from the wave shape of power.
Dotted line (Input voltage), Solid line (Input power) versus time.
