Presenting, a newcomer in the Indonesian Home Appliances, Gaabor!
Gaabor brand was introduced in 2021 by Gabor Lorenz who is a senior engineer in German kitchen appliances. It then entered the Southeast Asian market (such as Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc) and becomes one of the best-selling home appliances products in only 2 months! Gaabor was only focused on kitchen appliances at once, but then they invested in developing and innovating new products and expanding to other home appliances products, and I believe this fan is one of their newly innovative products!
About the fan itself, I got this fan from Tokopedia for around Rp 300.000 when it was on discount, but the main purpose I grabbed this fan is because of the cute design, and also I want to test its durability since this fan is a newcomer. Lastly, because @TheFanUniverse also bought this fan and I was kinda pushed to get one for myself too 😆. My first impression about the build quality is, unfortunately, it seems to have a bit of an error. The bottom part of the fan, (especially the round stand) is lighter than the top part of the fan, making it would fall easily if it's accidentally bumped. There is no hand grip on the rear of the back grille which makes it harder to be moved. And the worst thing is the vertical tilt adjustment feels frail and risky, when it's tilted as shown at 2:42, the neck of the fan felt like it would break. The airflow it generates is just a "so-so", there are no other words I can describe the airflow other than so-so. But the pros of this fan are the cute and unique design. It has a 7-blade propeller, making it a lot different compared to the most available pedestal fans in the Indonesian market. It was surprisingly quiet enough (no hums, no whirring noise, etc), and it is also decorative enough to be used as a home decoration with modern interior design!
The conclusion is, if you're looking for a pedestal fan with strong performance, this fan is not the best choice for you. But if you're looking for a pedestal fan for decoration needs, gentle airflow, and quiet performance, well, this fan could be an option for you!
