A large fourth century AD wreck partly excavated in 2016-2017 yielded a cargo of ancient 'scrap metal', which included a remarkable collection of full-sized fragmentary Roman bronze statues (four male and one female), bronze sculpture artifacts including two exquisite lamps, sounding weights, a lead brazier, ships fittings and fishing gear, a rare complete bilge pump, more than 20 kg of conglomerated copper coins, the largest collection of Roman decorative mirror frames, and the largest collection of Roman raw glass ever discovered in a shipwreck context. As teams of expert conservators and specialists work on preparing all this material for publication, some of it is already on tour around the world, including a display at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC.
