What is a Network?
A network is a collection of multiple devices that communicate with one another. Devices could include computers, smart phones, wear-ables, and much more. Devices communicate through cables, radio waves, satellite, or infrared light beams.
The two main types of networks are local area network or LAN and wide area network or WAN.
A local area network is limited to a specific space such as a home, office, or campus. Devices connect to the Local area network through a wired Ethernet connection or Wi-Fi.
Wide area networks are not limited to a single area, they are comprised of multiple Local area network connected using Internet Protocol or IP.
