IQ test for dogs?! 💡🐶
Are our dogs really STUPID?! 😅 Zuckerpuppe can hardly believe her eyes when her dachshund Peppa fails the IQ test. Many people on TikTok are currently testing how smart their dogs are. The test is easy to replicate: You pick up your dog and walk towards a wall. Dog supports itself with its legs = clever. 🧠 Dog supports itself with its head = dumb. 🥴
But is this intelligence test itself perhaps dumb? 🧐 We showed the test to a dog trainer and tried it out ourselves with dogs at the animal shelter. The result: Lucky, Elvis, and Bonnie aced the test. ✅ Only little Kira used her hind legs for support. So, is she half-smart?
Dog trainer Dr. Marie Nitzschner says: 💬 The different reactions depend more on experience and body type. 🐕 Short-legged dogs like dachshunds have a disadvantage. Especially if they are picked up incorrectly.
Their conclusion: This test has nothing to do with science; it's nonsense. ❌
