This was made in the live-coding language ixi lang, which is super easy and extremely fun. This is my second song in ixi - I wanted to see if I could make something completely different from Bloom, and I think I managed it. I imagine the absent girl in this song as a pirate or an explorer seeing the world while her lover waits at home in the windswept garden.
If you are live-coding inclined (and have a Mac - alas there is no PC version :( ), you can get ixi lang here - http://www.ixi-audio.net/ixilang/, and my performance code is freely available at my Github -https://github.com/emmawinston/ixilan... (though it uses a bunch of samples which I don't think I can just open-source along with everything else so it won't work straight out of the box, sorry!).
It can be a little difficult to install - I am going to put up a blog post soon detailing this.
