Coronation Street spoilers: Nick Tilsley secretly MARRIED in game-changing plot twist?
CORONATION STREET could be lining up a shock return storyline for returning Weatherfield resident Nick Tilsley as Gail Rodwell’s eldest child comes back to the cobbles with a game-changing secret.
Nick (played by Ben Price) will return to the cobbles of Coronation Street next month after leaving the soap last year.
Viewers last saw Nick waving goodbye to his family in Weatherfield after a near death experience led him to re-evaluate his life.
However, it seems Nick has led quite a dramatic life away from the Street and he may return a married man.
Things may have turned sour as he could turn up on his Gail’s (Helen Worth) doorstep trying to run away from his new wife.
According to reports by The Daily Star, Nick will be on his own when he returns, known this marriage was a huge mistake.
However, the unknown character will supposedly follow him to the street only for Nick to confess he wants a divorce.
But will the mystery wife take the divorce lightly or will she fight for her man?
One thing is for sure, Nick’s ex wives Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and Carla Connor (Alison King) are sure to have a thing or two to say about Nick’s new romance.
Before marrying his “new” wife, Nick was last married to Carla but found out on their wedding day his beloved was having an affair with Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill).
Although he went through with the wedding, he revealed to Carla he knew the truth which led to the factory owners departure from the street.
With a chemistry still lingering between Carla and Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), will Nick want to fight for the affections of his ex wife once he gets the divorce?
Or will he be tempted back into the arms of his former flame Leanne? The former barmaid has recently enjoyed a brief romance with Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo).
However, the affair came to an abrupt end when she fund out he was also sleeping with her sister Torah Battersby (Georgia Baylor).
Jane Danson revealed in an interview with Express.co.uk she would like a romance to reignite between Nick and Leanne as they do have a lot of history together.
“Ultimately Nick is the love of Leanne's life. They were teenage sweethearts and his mum, Gail, hates her. It's always been like Romeo and Juliet!”
Elsewhere on the ITV soap, Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) could be about to lose her baby in a heartbreaking storyline.
Following a bleed a few weeks ago, Sinead is relieved when the 12 week scan shows her baby in perfect health.
However, it’s her own heath she should be worried about when an obstetrician examines Sinead and discovers a lump on her cervix.
Having undergone through examination, Sinead will have a agonising wait as the tests are sent away to discover if the lump is cancerous.
If the expectant mum does have cancer, this would men she would have to undergo chemotherapy putting her unborn child at risk.
Dealing with the worry alone, how much longer will she be able to keep her fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in the dark about what is really going on?
