Coronation Street spoilers: Sophie Webster star drops bombshell relationship secret
CORONATION STREET is set to see another romance shake the cobbles when Sally Metcalfe finds out her daughter Sophie has began an affair with Paula. But actress Brooke Vincent has revealed a major spoiler about the longevity of her new relationship.
Coronation Street viewers have seen the romance between Sophie Webster (played by Brooke Vincent) and Paula Cunliffe (Stirling Gallagher) blossom in recent scenes.
And it’s set to last a long time according to actress Brooke who has discussed her new love interest storyline, where viewers will see Sophie fall unexpectedly in love with Paula and her feelings will be reciprocated.
When asked if she thinks the couple will last, she said: “I hope so. As far as I know it keeps going.”
Brooke also spoke about working with the new cast member and added: “I love working alongside Stirling, she's lovely and fits well alongside our family.”
Sophie was last seen earlier in the year being dumped by Kate Connor (Faye Brookes).
And in 2011 her wedding to Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson) was called off after she was overheard confessing to a drunken kiss with friend Amber Kalirai (Nikki Patel).
After several failed relationships, the actress claimed she is always skeptical when Sophie has a new love interest, but insisted this time with Paula it’s “different”. “I love Stirling and the character is really different to anyone she's ever been out with, so I really enjoyed it.”
The Webster family were surprised when Sophie revealed her and Paula had a fling.
It came after Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) tried to set up her ex-husband with Paula, but obviously that didn’t go to plan.
Meanwhile, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) is set to return to the Street, and lands himself immediately into a love triangle with his exes.
After weeks of filming, details of his return have hinted at Carla Connor (Alison King) and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) both fighting for his affections, but with both of them going through turbulent times in their lives, who will Nick be a shoulder to cry on?
Actress Alison recently discussed the return of her costar and teased there could be a possible romance for their characters.
Speaking to Metro, she said: “There is a lot to be explored, it will be interesting to see what the impact his return has…”
Following the first look images released by Coronation Street, there can be several reasons why Nick is back.
After the horrendous ordeal David Platt (Jack P.Shepherd) has suffered, viewers already know his rapist Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) will not be criminally convicted.
But could the arrival of Nick mean the brothers will deal Josh his comeuppance?
Other rumours suggest the businessman could be back with a new wife set to blow the other love interest storylines out of the water.
But will he have made such a life change without consulting his mother?
