2023.06.14 Elisabet Ney
After 1845, the German migrations to Texas brought a wide variety of articles and persons into Texas.
Elisabet Ney was one of the several patrons of the arts, who accompanied those migrations. It is not known whether she was a "Free Thinker" or not, but she certainly was "different." As one biographer stated, she "sculpted her personal life to be different from what was expected of the proper ladies of her times..."
