Building a render farm can be quick and easy, see how in this video tutorial.
James takes us through building a render farm for Blender 2.81, using MacOS, Linux and Windows machines and a wifi router.

WHAT EVEN IS A RENDER FARM?
Basically its a group of computers, usually connected via wifi or a wired network using ethernet. This group of computers is used to accelerate 3d rendering (which is sometimes called network rendering, or if the computers are spread out over the internet, distributed rendering).
Normally each computer gets one frame each of the whole animation to render and as there are more than one computer working at once, there are more frames rendered than using just one computer.
Our addon simplifies most of the setup involved in creating a render farm. Usually you need some knowledge of how to setup networks, shared folders or drives, and be able to configure the various components of render farm software to be able to use the power of all those computers.
Crowdrender is far more simple to setup than most render farm software packages. Check out the video to see for yourself and decide if its something you'd like to try.
