A Masterpiece of A Game - Super Metroid Retrospective

And now for the mac daddy of them all, Super Metroid. Undoubtably the most popular and influential game in Metroid's line-up Super has probably got the most notoriety behind it, but with all that fame a lot of preconceived expectations get built up in outsiders like myself. Super Metroid was my 2nd or 3rd Metroid game I played to completion and in that playthrough I couldn't find what made this game as good as it was. But in playing the series in chronological order I found myself understanding why Super is held in high regards and why some consider it to be a masterpiece.
