Metroid Zero Mission Retrospective - Samus' First Adventure Done Right

Inspired by the at the time hype coming in for Metroid Dread I decided to tackle 2D Metroid games to get myself prepared to play the game, with the first title being up to bat being Zero Mission. Being a remake of the original Metroid, a game in which I didn't fall in love with, Zero Mission sets to tell the events of the original to a new audience bringing in new cutscenes, creatures, and boss fights to give the game a whole new feel. While the gameplay itself was good something I was blown away by was how lifelike the world of Zero Mission felt. From the enemies to certain boss encounters, Zero Mission feels unlike any other 2D game I've played in my whole life and I'm happy to share just how exactly this Digital World came to life for me.
