Aira Force | Waterfall | Lake District National Park | Cumbria | Circular Hikes
A beautiful 4 and half mile circular route taking you past arguably the Lake District's most popular waterfall, Aira Force, before heading up onto Gowbarrow Fell and Airy Crag.
You first walk along the river past high force before seeing the power of Aira Force, you cross the bridge at the foot of the waterfall, head up through the woods and into the fells. If you are as lucky as I was with the weather, you will get glorious views over Ullswater and the surrounding mountains. A must do walk if you're in the Northern Lake District.
I parked in a little lay-by at Dockray, but there is lots of parking including car parks all around this area. Enjoy.
