Making The Totem From Monument Valley For With My Son
My son really likes the games Monument Valley 1 & 2. He asked me to me the yellow totem from the first game, so I did.
I used a 90x90mm pine beam, use my table saw and thickness planer to cut four 80x80mm cubes. Then I drilled through three of them and half through the last one. I used a 12mm round dowel, four washers and two part epoxy for the assembly.
The build is pretty straight forward, and it was really fun to make this for, and with my son. The only tricky part is the drill right in the center of the cube and painting all the parts.
