Day 6 of Main House Windows
The framers started installing the first three of our 56 windows in the main house. The window sill flashing wrapped the bottom of the window opening and up at least 6 inches on each side. The windows were positioned so they were centered on their openings, evenly spaced, and level with each other at the top. Before placing the window in the opening the window flange was coated with OSI MAX sealant. One window at a time was placed in its opening and then screwed into place with 3” long stainless steel number 10 pan head screws per the manufacturer’s specifications. On the bottom inside sill we placed cedar wood shims to level and support the windows.
