What is SALW Disarmament
Gun laws are a huge controversy in the United States due to fear and misunderstanding. Everyone has the same goal: SAFETY. Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) refers to any weapon that can be used by one person. Watch this video to understand the basic ideas behind why these weapons are so dangerous and what we can do to make our world safer.
This video is a part of a larger research project from Nonviolence International New York that ties Disarmament in with modern Peacebuilding as implemented in conflict zones by the United Nations and the Nonviolence Movement pioneered by Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. and others including Nonviolence International founder Mubarak Awad.
