Orange Shirt Day | Interns Reflect
Orange Shirt Day is an important day that honors the lives of the Indigenous children that never returned home from the Indian residential schools. On May 2021, there were 215 bodies found on a boarding school grounds. This news has inspired survivors from these schools to talk about their experience going to these schools.
During our morning meetings we discuss important topics with our interns. For this discussion we watched the video, Voices of Amiskwaciy - Harold Cook’s Story.
