According to charles law, the gases expand when the temperature increases at a constant pressure. This is the reason why hot air balloon and wish paper lantern goes up after lightning the fire under it? The kinetic energy of air molecules increases and it moves at a more rapid speed which causes expansion in air. The experimental here having balloon tied up on the mouth of bottle gets bigger once temperature of water increases.
