I upgraded my avenger titan to the Nomad and was skeptical about it. Not the best looking ship in Star Citizen with nothing new to bring in to the game.
I thought that three s3 gimble rhino receptors would be better than the avenger therefore I upgraded. The ship is not an original design, the front exhausts, body shape, engine sounds, even inside the cockpit the orange colours of the screens remind me of ED and the ASP explorer. Having that said, the ship is fun, and it can hold its own in a fight. Have run few combat missions and, if you fit it with grade a military shields :)) you will be more than fine.
Trading with 24 SCU is decent for starter, and for all the delivery missions nothing new it can do its thing.
The hydrogen fuel, that's a problem! intended or not they should fix it, it eats hydrogen fuel like crazy, keep your eye on it.
It really gives me the feeling of something more than a starter ship, and it's also quite competitive with the cutlass black or the freelancer base, it moves better than them and, from a pilot point of view, the firepower is in the same class. It is fast and agile inside the atmosphere too.
