Anna Karenina // I couldn't stop caring
I am a huge fan of Keira Knightley (especially when playing drama or historical movies) and Joe Wright won my heart with "Pride and Prejudice" (with a STUNNING Matthew Mcfadyen), so I had great expectations for "Anna Karenina". I think the director and the cast managed to recreate the feelings and the tragedy behind the story (and the book) and I loved the cast chosen (could we all apreciate Aaron Johnson as Vronsky, please? oh and yes, Matthew Mcfadyen is back )but in the end I was a little disappointed. I felt like something was missing. Wright built the movie around 5-6 main sequences, resulting in a lack of cohesion. I think the whole idea of the theatre performance was amazing, but it didn't work out well a s some sort of "glue" for all the sequences. Anyway, since I enjoyed the performances of each actor/actress, especially the chemistry between Vronsky and Anna, I decided to edit this. And it turned out EXACTLY as I wanted. enjoy!
